Lion Cousins is a mentor program set up to help students learn about the different cultures represented on campus. American and international students will be paired up for either one semester, or an entire academic year. Lion Cousin participants are expected to attend two planned events every semester, as well as meet up with their "cousin" twice a month for lunch, dinner, or just to hang out! This is a great way to learn about the different cultures represented here at A&M-Commerce.
You have the chance to positively impact a student’s perception about the U.S. and make their study abroad a wonderful experience!!!

Dinner in An American Home
Dinner in An American Home provides an opportunity for international students to connect with individuals and families in the university and surrounding community. This program is designed to foster new friendships that promote cultural learning, appreciation, and understanding for both the hosts and students. This program is also designed to create an environment which promotes the open exchange of cultural experiences, customs, and ideas. For more information about the program click here for a brief presentation.
This fall semester, the International Student Services Office is recruiting interested individuals or families who are willing to open their home for one meal and invite an international student(s) into their home. Placement will depend upon the number of hosts and students who sign up.
