Concurrent Enrollment: Taking Courses at A&M-Commerce and Another School
Students may take courses at A&M-Commerce and another institution at the same time. This is referred to as concurrent enrollment. If you are considering concurrent enrollment please contact an international advisor at the ISSO.
Students may not be able to begin their academic program for the semester they are admitted due to a number of reasons. If you are unable to begin your academic program in the semester you are admitted then you will need to defer your admission to a future semester. Undergraduate students will need to contact Undergraduate Admissions to defer their admission. Graduate students will need to complete the Deferral Request form and submit this form with an update bank and sponsor statement to the Graduate School.
Students with Dependents
An F-1 student's spouse or unmarried children under the age of 21 may be eligible to stay in the U.S. with an F-1 student. Prior to entering the U.S. the ISS will need to issue an F-2 dependent I-20 for each dependent and the F-2 dependent will need to apply for an F-2 visa. There will be additional documentation required by the ISS before we can issue an F-2 I-20. Click here for more information.
