What is a Fitness Assessment?
A Personal Trainer will assess your fitness level in each of the five dimensions of physical fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Assessments are a required prerequisite for personal training sessions. They may be purchased separately or as part of a personal training package. Assessments last approximately one hour.
What services will the Personal Trainer provide?
Your Personal Trainer will provide professional one-on-one instruction that incorporates fitness and wellness assessments, goal setting, health education, and challenging workouts designed to meet your specific needs. The Personal Trainer will teach you proper workout techniques as well as motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. Sessions last approximately one hour.
Personal Trainer Certification
All of our Personal Trainers are currently certified by nationally recognized organizations such as ASCM, NSCA, ACE, or NASM, with additional CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Personal Trainers can provide general advice on healthy eating, but for specific dietary plans, students and employees can set an appointment with our campus Registered Dietician at Student Health Services. Please call 903-886-5853 to set you appointment.
