If you have not already done so, we strongly suggest that you meet with a departmental advisor to go over these requirements (ELED office phone number: 903.886.5669)

Course prerequisites:

• 2.50 minimum gpa & must meet TSI for ELED 300 & RDG 370
• ELED 200 is a co-req or pre-req for ELED 300
• ELED 300 is a prereq for RDG 370

Internship prerequisites:

• ELED 200
• ELED 300
• RDG 370
• MLED 314
• SPED 346
• MATH 350
• IS 351 or 351
• PSY 300

You can have no more than one course in your teaching specialization remaining. You are strongly encouraged to finish all other courses before starting internship. If you have not finished all, you can have no more than a total of 9 hours remaining in addition to your intern/resident courses.

GPA must be at least 2.50 in Specialization, Interdisciplinary Major, Professional Development courses and Overall.

Must have scored at least 250 on the reading portion of the THEA.
