At A&M-Commerce, Information Technology's (IT's) goal is to provide our university community with the tools, systems, and solutions needed for success. IT is responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of A&M-Commere's IT infrastructure, resources, and services. IT provides critical technology support to three campuses and partners within the A&M-Commerce community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service. IT's responsibilities include:
- Working with academic and administrative units to evaluate IT requirements, capabilities, and requests
- Managing A&M-Commerce's infrastructure and services, including administrative systems and information management, networking, telecommunications, datacenters, information security and privacy, academic and collaborative applications, computing infrastructure, IT services and strategic sourcing accessible technology, customer services, and technology business continuity
- Working with the President, the University's IT Steering Committee, and appropriate governance committees to determine IT strategies, policies, priorities, and resource allocations throughout the institution
- Representing A&M-Commerce IT interests at state and national levels
