Hoyle Julian grew up on a dairy farm in Hopkins County. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1960 and his master's of science degree in 1965. Hoyle was the Director of Large Systems Programs for ARCO Oil and Gas Company when he retired in 1992. While they have given monetarily, Mr. Julian also gives his time to this institution. For the past ten years, he has volunteered as a math tutor. Hoyle and his wife, Ann, have created endowed scholarships for students in the area of performing arts, mathematics, and athletics. They were inducted into the Heritage Society in 2000 and the Rayburn Society in 2005 for their generous contributions and support to this institution.
