Gerald E. Deats
Gerald Deats received a BS in math from East Texas State University in 1970 where he was involved with the honors program and the Math Club. Gerald is a Senior Vice President and Business Executive with Bank of America and has been with the bank since 1970. Gerald and his wife Ida (BS ’72) support a long list of organizations and efforts. The list includes the CAP C Program in Dallas, a Child Abuse Prevention Center where Gerald is a founding member, Paris Junior College, Relay for Life, The A&M Twelfth Man Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc., where they are members of the Tocqueville Society. They also give their time and resources to the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands, Lake Highlands Women's League and the Scottish Rite Hospital. Gerald and Ida also helped underwrite the building of the Alumni Center.
