Mella Lopez graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with BBA in General Business & Accounting in 2005 and MBA in Finance in 2006. Apart of the MBA program she had the opportunity to study International Finance at the University of London - King’s College. As a student she was actively involved in the community and participated in multiple student organizations to include Beta Alpha Psi, LULAC, Hermanas United, and Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. She was also the first Hispanic Homecoming Queen at Texas A&M University- Commerce.
After graduation, she began her career working for Fortune 500 companies in both the energy and financial services industries. Past roles include Senior Commercial Portfolio Credit Analyst at JP Morgan Chase & Co, Commercial Account Manager with Commerce Energy, and Commercial Account Service Manger with TXU Energy/ Energy Future Holdings. Currently, she is a Dealer Lending Analyst with Chrysler Capital providing commercial lending and floorplan services to Chrysler dealerships throughout the U.S.In January 2012, Mella joined the Board of Directors for Texas A&M University-Commerce Alumni Association. Currently, she also sits on the Board of Directors as Financial Officer and Treasurer for National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) - DFW Chapter. Past roles and community involvement include VP of Information Technology and VP of Membership for the NSHMBA-DFW Chapter, and Financial Officer and Treasurer for JP Morgan Chase & Co - Adelante Business Resource Group in Dallas. She is also a member of Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.
