Russell "Rusty" Harden
Rusty Harden graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce in 1990 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of The Sigma Chi Fraternity and the 1990 Lone Star Conference Champion Men’s Basketball team. In 2006, he completed his Master Degree in Education from Texas A&M University – Commerce. He has vast experience in public education. Rusty coached and taught for 15 years, served 3 years as an assistant principal, and 4 years as a head principal. Stops along the way were Como-Pickton ISD, Granbury ISD, Greenville ISD, Mineola ISD, and Sulphur Springs ISD. He is currently the Director of Human Resources and Communications for Sulphur Springs ISD.
Rusty is married to Amy Harden, a graduate of Texas A&M – Commerce, and has two daughters, Taylor and Brooke. They live in Sulphur Springs, Texas and are members of The First United Methodist Church.
He is also serves as a board member to the Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce and Sulphur Springs Zoning Board of Appeals.
Rusty still enjoys playing basketball weekly, and when they can his family likes to attend different sporting events at Ole ET.
