Kappa Delta Sorority Hosts Sing Song November 15

COMMERCE, TX—The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority is hosting its annual Sing Song Shamrock Event, “Once Upon a Time” at 7:00 p.m. November 15 in Ferguson Auditorium at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Kings, queens, princes and princesses, young and young at heart will enjoy this special event. This year’s theme is Once Upon a Time and is sure to be a magical night of acting, dancing and singing for a great cause.
“Sing Song is my favorite event of the year, an opportunity to showcase the talent participating students while promoting a social cause which effects many in our community,” said Mary Mahaffey, Kappa Delta advisor. “Sing Song represents the good that we create when we come together to serve others.”
Joining their sisters from across the nation, the KDs are raising money and awareness for Prevent Child Abuse America, a national Kappa Delta philanthropy. To date, national Kappa Delta has raised over $10.6 million to prevent child abuse. Kids are at the heart of all Kappa Delta’s philanthropic endeavors, and this Sing Song event will be no different.
To celebrate International Girls Day, girl scouts from across northeast Texas will be accompanying Kappa Deltas on stage and will assist the judges in choosing the Sing Song Champions.
Tickets will be on sale for $5 at the door. Event t-shirts will also be on sale for $10 each.
