Dr Angie Wilson
Dr. Angie Wilson joined the Texas A&M University – Commerce faculty in 2012 after graduating from Sam Houston State University with a doctorate in counselor education. Dr. Wilson's clinical background includes work with incarcerated adults, sexual offenders, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor and a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider in Texas. She is currently a member of American Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association (TCA). She serves as the graduate student/new professional board member at large of the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES) and as an emerging leader of the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES). Dr. Wilson's primary research interests include the success of children from absent father homes, offender and addictions counseling, and gate keeping in counselor education programs. In the department, Dr. Wilson currently teaches introduction to the counseling profession and internship.
