Conversational Corpus Project
Primary researchers are Lucy Pickering, Beatrice Priego-Valverde and graduate students at ALL. This is a joint project with the Laboratoire Parole et Langage, CNRS, Aix-en-Provence, France in which we are developing and testing Tools for Multimodal Information Processing (OTIM). The European project is currently underway at the Center of National Scientific Research in France involving a consortium of laboratories. Researchers have created a French conversational corpus comprising audio-video recording of spontaneous spoken discourse and are developing tools for multimodal annotation of these data. The OTIM-US project duplicates the French conversational corpus in American English and is partnering with CNRS to adapt annotation tools for use in the multimodal analysis of English. Information on the OTIM project can be found at http://aune.lpl.univ-aix.fr/~otim.
