In Search of Our Cosmic Origins
How and where are stars and planets formed? In order to answer this question astronomers have begun constructing an array of 66 radio telescopes known as ALMA high in the Atacama desert. The ALMA telescopes are specially designed to study the formation of stars and planets through observing the molecular gas and dust clouds that make up stars, planetary systems, galaxies and life itself. This planetarium show explores this exciting project and the fantastic discoveries that will unfold.
