The second annual Counseling Scholarship Dinner was held in conjunction with the Counseling Honor Society’s induction of new members on April 30, 2009 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Dallas, TX. This night was devoted to honoring the department’s scholarship recipients as well as the scholastic achievements of outstanding honors students with their membership to the honor society.
Dr. Frank Ashley, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the Texas A&M University System was the keynote speaker for the evening. His speech inspired and motivated all in attendance through his message of making a difference in other’s lives. Dr. Brent Mangus, the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services and his wife were also among the dignitaries for the evening.
Drs. Ashley and Mangus were additionally awarded honorary memberships to the local chapter of the Honor Society, Chi Sigma Iota-Epsilon Tau
The evening was shared with department of counseling faculty, student and their families and guests.
