Position Title:eLearning Administrative Specialist

Reports To:Coordinator for Instructional Design
Purpose of Position
Responsible for assisting the Coordinator for Instructional Design with the administrative functions of eCollege. Trains and supports faculty and staff on academic support software and university standard personal computer (PC) software.
- Assists with the administrative functions of eCollege (i.e. course copies, content copies, online surveys, etc.)
- Trains and supports faculty in the use of academic support software (i.e. Macromedia Presenter (Breeze), Respondus, etc.).
- Supports faculty in the use of the university course management system to develop and teach online courses.
- Assists in conducting computer training workshops on standard computer software to faculty, staff, students, and the public (i.e. MS Office).
Contributes to the effective team management of all relevant problems, issues and opportunities.
This job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
Marginal Functions will vary with the specific assignment and depend on the particular unit or function for which the person is responsible. Consideration will be given on a case by case basis and reassignment of marginal duties will be made when appropriate.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college and three (3) years related experience. Must have the ability to teach basic and advanced personal computer software (Microsoft Office). Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred: Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, specifically eCollege. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct face-to-face instruction and oral presentations.
