Three undergraduate researchers awarded prizes at 2011 Annual Research Symposium
On April 7, 2011, the Annual Research Symposium took place on the campus of Texas A&M University - Commerce. The Symposium, which highlights the research efforts of students and faculty from all disciplines, was organized by Dr. Anil Chourasia (Physics and Astronomy) and Dr. Jim Heitholt (Agricultural Sciences).
Among undergraduate researchers, there were 5 presentations and 7 posters. The awardees were:
1st place: Donald May (Physics and Astronomy) -- Visualization and Interaction Methodologies for Teaching Science and Mathematics Using Evolving Technologies
2nd place: Mary Mason (Biology) -- Possible Protein Interaction between Maspardin and ALDH18A1 in Mast Syndrome
1st place: Savannah D. Brookins (Biology) -- Possible Contribution of Kinesin-1 to Mast Syndrome
